The Arianators aren’t happy. Lindsay Lohan was slammed by Ariana Grande fans after she commented on the pop singer’s Instagram post and accused her of wearing “too much makeup.”

Grande, 23, shared a photo of herself and costar Dove Cameron in full hair and makeup on the set of NBC’s Hairspray Live! on Friday, November 18. Numerous Instagram users commented on Grande’s post to compliment her ’60s-inspired look, while Lohan opted to throw some not-so-subtle shade.

“Too much makeup,” the Mean Girls actress, 30, wrote, according to a screenshot posted by The Huffington Post on Saturday, November 19.

Several fans replied to Lohan, attacking her for commenting on the “Into You” singer’s appearance as she portrays Penny Pingleton in the forthcoming live musical.

“Why are u so mean to her?!” one user asked. “What did she ever do wrong to u?!?! She is soooo kind with a pretty heart.”

Another wrote, “WEAR AS MUCH MAKEUP AS YOU WANT.” They also flooded Lohan’s Instagram account with angry comments.

Grande stars in Hairspray Live! alongside Maddie Baillio (Tracy Turnblad), Kristin Chenoweth (Velma von Tussle), Jennifer Hudson (Maybelle “Motormouth” Stubbs), Martin Short (Wilbur Turnblad) and Derek Hough (Corny Collins).

It was recently announced that Grande and Hudson will end the NBC telecast with a duet of “Come So Far (Got So Far to Go),” which was originally performed by Queen Latifah’s Motormouth in the 2007 film adaptation of Hairspray.
