It’s been a tumultuous two-year span for Grande, with the latest big news being the end of her engagement with Davidson, 24, earlier this month.
The pair, who became engaged in June, had not done any of the actual work in planning a wedding prior to their split, TMZ reported Monday.
The outlet noted that the emotional toll stemming from death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller paved the path to the breakup.
The Dangerous Woman artist was in an almost-two-year relationship with Miller – from September 2016 until their split this past May.
He was found dead at 26 in his Studio City, California home on September 7 in what authorities suspect to be a drug overdose.
Grande also remains dealing with PTSD in the wake of the May 2017 tragedy at her concert at Manchester, England’s Manchester Arena in which 22 people were killed and more than 800 hurt amid a suicide bomber’s attack.
She told the BBC in June, ‘It’s hard to talk about because so many people have suffered such severe, tremendous loss. But, yeah, it’s a real thing.’
She continued: ‘I feel like I shouldn’t even be talking about my own experience – like I shouldn’t even say anything. I don’t think I’ll ever know how to talk about it and not cry.’
