Taylor Swift’s dad has come under-fire from fans for his bizarre rant about doing ‘anything’ to advance his popstar daughter’s career. Scott Swift opened up about his true feelings in leaked court documents that left fans stunned. He said: “Bear with me, I need to vent.”
Straight-talking Scott did not mince his words when it came to his superstar daughter. he added: “I know one thing. No-one is going to aid you and Taylor in becoming successful more than I will.”
I am your banker and I am you and Taylor’s biggest fans. I will sell a s*** load of t-shirts.” In another rant he said: “Who gets to go to New York, New England and every cool appearance? Not dad. Can’t fix hair. Dad talks too much. Who pays for trips to New York? Dad.”
His rant was far from over. Scott emphatically added: “I am going to do anything that I think is appropriate to do to advance Taylor’s career.” In an apparent ‘dig’ at Taylor’s mum Andrea, he added: Finally, if you want to get rid of me, please forward this to Andrea.”
Scott’s post on social media site X left some fans baffled with one commenting, “actual what the f*** Scott Swift.” Another fan chimed in: “The way he talks about Taylor like she’s a business, tells me everything I need to know.” A third chimed in: “This email from Taylor Swift’s dad has been included in a new lawsuit and is a baffling read.”
They added: “Lots of moaning about Andrea, mentions of his prostate and how he can’t get his s*** up. Very intense business jargon, and his hopes for Taylor to eventually become a movie star.”
Meanwhile Taylor’s boyfriend Travis Kelce is reported to have asked Taylor’s dad for his blessing amid proposal rumors, with the couple’s romance heating up day by day. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, began dating the Anti-Hero hitmaker, also 34, back in the summer. The couple then went public with their romance in September.
It all started after the NFL hunk expressed his interest in the singer after he attended an Eras Tour gig in July, with him also revealing that he had made a friendship bracelet for the singer with his phone number on it, but failed to give it to her. But now, after a whirlwind romance that has seen the couple pucker up for smooches in public and step out hand-in-hand, it seems that they are prepared to step things up a notch.
Page Six has reported that Travis has asked the singer’s father for his permission for her hand in marriage. The source gushed to the outlet: “Scott has been asked for his blessing and has wholeheartedly given it, and Travis has been talking to friends about a ring.”
And, apparently, Travis is even getting the rumoured engagement ring designed, with it currently in production as we speak, or already in his possession. This comes after we reported that renowned celebrity psychic Inbaal Honigman carried out a Tarot reading for The Mirror, where she revealed: “Travis has a ring and will propose”.
