In addition to demodex, it was discovered that Lucky had several other health issues.
Lucky required extensive care, but the shelter staff was determined to help him. They also provided him with nourishing food, clean water, and a warm place to sleep.
Despite all the care and attention, Lucky remained timid and fearful. He would hide beneath his bed whenever anyone approached his kennel. It took time and patience for Lucky to regain his trust in others. However, with the aid of shelter staff and volunteers, he began to emerge from his shell.
A couple visited the shelter to adopt a dog one day. Upon first sight, they fell in love with Lucky. They spent time petting and conversing with Lucky, and he began to warm up to them. Lucky finally found his forever home at that time.
The new family of Lucky continued his treatment and gave him all the love and care he required. He gradually became healthier and stronger, and his fur began to regrow. Lucky was a brand-new, happy, energetic dog who loved nothing more than to play with his new family.
When Lucky reflected on his life on the streets, he realized how fortunate he was to have been rescued. He still occasionally hid under the car, but only to play hide-and-seek with his new family. Lucky had finally found a place to call home, and he knew he would never again need to hide.
