Just as Taylor Swift upended the film business with the movie version of her ‘Eras’ tour hitting theaters in October, Beyonce may be doing the same thing.

Swift shocked the film-going world with the late-August announcement that a concert film of her “Eras” tour would be coming to theaters Oct. 13, setting off a frenzy of movie-theater ticket sales. Now, Beyoncé may be doing the same as Variety reported today that the singer is in talks to bring her “Renaissance World” tour to theaters, too.
According to Variety, “Mega-agency CAA held preliminary talks with major studios and streamers two weeks ago, another source added, urging the players to be ready to bid on a project the icon has been developing for years — one that would include elements of her top-grossing 2023 live shows, parts of the long-gestating visual album “Renaissance” and a documentary-style account of making the record and building out the tour (Blue Ivy Carter cameos surely to come).”
As with Swift’s film, the deal would be made in conjunction with AMC Theaters. Look for a possible Dec. 1 release date, making it an early holiday for Bey fans.
