Fans have been accusing pop star Britney Spears of using AI for a while now, especially in videos that make it look like her teeth have disappeared right out of her mouth.

On Friday night, the “Toxic” singer finally confessed to using facial filters, as many fans had suspected. However, it doesn’t look like she used any filters in the two photos that she shared alongside her lengthy caption, which featured her posing with her longtime manager Cade Hudson for two intimate-looking snaps.

On Friday night, the “Hold Me Closer” singer took to Instagram to share two photos of her snapping a selfie along with her longtime manager, Cade Hudson. It looks like the two snapped this photo on a recent trip to Mexico, as she said that was in a “beautiful” location before she admitted it was difficult to go through a divorce while reflecting on her memoir, “The Woman In Me” which hits bookshelves on October 24. Iranian actor Sam Asghari, 29, filed for divorce from the 41-year-old pop star, citing “irreconcilable differences” in court documents obtained by The Blast.

“I’m in such a beautiful location !!! I’m so lucky to have amazing friends !!! Positive affirmations are important to me at the moment !!!” she wrote in the caption. “I say this because I’m going through a divorce and having to reflect my past in a book was … let’s just say not easy !!! I’m just saying !!! But I take it one day at a time learning to breathe !!! Self-love is so unbelievably important !!! I woke up and just cried because I felt grateful to be in such a beautiful place !!!”

Britney then transitioned to “the relation” between her life and Instagram, calling the social media platform “addicting.” She went on to say that she won’t quit if she doesn’t take it too seriously before seemingly admitting to using FaceTune and other “apps” to upgrade her appearance. However, the Princess of Pop is of the opinion that it doesn’t hurt anyone, so why does it matter if she decides to use filters or not?

“Then I thought about my relation between my life and Instagram at the moment !!! Let’s get this straight !!! It’s addicting … but in my personal opinion the moment you start to take yourself too seriously is when people quit !!!” she wrote on Friday night. “Hey I’m not promoting FaceTune for the rest of my life but seriously when I have days of depression I look and see the new apps and it makes me feel silly !!! I’m like wow this is cool !!! I see things in a brighter way and so what if it’s enhanced !!!”

“I’m just trying to understand people that say they don’t participate in it !!! Yet they’re on complete defense for some reason making accusations and downplaying it by saying all pictures are fake and are all retouched !!!” she continued. “Nothing is real … honestly who f—ing cares !!! If you’re so entitled and perfect why should you even care if someone is experimenting with apps on their phone ??? Why even mention it ??? If you’re so much better than that ??? But are you ??? Come on !!!”

Britney wrapped up the post, writing, “I love my best friend !!!” seemingly in reference to Cade Hudson, who she posed for the photos with. Comments on the Instagram post were disabled, but X, formerly known as Twitter, was still full of concern for Britney’s past knife-dancing videos in order to comment on her recent admission.

Britney’s Knife Dancing Videos Go Viral

On Monday, the pop star posted a video of her dancing with two knives. Although she assured her fans that they were fake, the clink of the knives as she hit them against one another made many fans assume they were real.

“I started playing in the kitchen with knives today 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ !!! Don’t worry they are NOT real knives !!! Halloween is soon 🙈🙈🙈 !!!” she wrote in the caption.

Fans have to swipe to see her next video, which features her dancing with a bandage around her arm, a cut on her leg, and a bruise on her lower back.

It is unclear how she sustained these injuries, but she made no reference to them in her caption. She did encourage her followers to “swipe” to see the video, however.

On Tuesday night, she told her followers to “👛😷😷 Lighten up about the knives I’m copying Shakira 🙈 !!!”

The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer performed with knives at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards on September 12.

Finally, on Thursday night, Britney doubled down on her claims that the knives were fake after local law enforcement officials conducted a wellness check on the pop star on Wednesday night.

“I know I spooked everyone with the last post, but these are fake knives that my team rented from Hand Prop shop in LA. These are not real knives,” she wrote in the caption of this dancing video. “No one needs to worry or call the police. I’m trying to imitate one of my favorite performers Shakira … a performance I was inspired by !!!  Cheers to us bad girls who aren’t afraid to push boundaries and take risks 💅🏼💅🏼💅🏼!”
