Pop star Britney Spears has announced her retirement from music, citing the conservatorship that she is currently under as the reason why her dreams were “killed.” The singer expressed her dissatisfaction with her family, particularly her sister, and directed a scathing message to them on social media. In the message, she told her haters to “go f**k themselves” and ranted against those who had “ruined her life.” She shared an image on Instagram that stated, “Take me as I am or kiss my a**, eat s**t, and step on legos,” along with a caption explaining that she would not be performing anytime soon due to her father’s control over her personal and professional life.
The celebrity criticized her relatives in her outburst and expressed her preference for sharing videos from her home instead of performing in Las Vegas, where some attendees were too intoxicated to even greet her. She also mentioned that being exposed to marijuana smoke constantly was not a big deal to her, but it would have been nice to relax at a spa without the constant contact high.
According to reports, Britney Spears announced that she is no longer pursuing her music career and has no plans of performing live again. She also stated that she will no longer wear heavy makeup or try to get on stage again. This announcement follows her recent outburst directed towards her younger sister Jamie Lynn, who received criticism from fans during her conservatorship hearings in court. Notably, Britney has not performed live since 2018.
A recent Instagram post by the popular singer revealed her disappointment towards her sister’s performance of her songs at an awards show with remixes. She conveyed her anguish over how her so-called support system hurt her deeply and how her conservatorship has crushed her dreams. Despite this, she still holds on to hope, which she believes is hard to kill. The emergence of documentaries of her life’s struggles has led to an upsurge in the FreeBritney movement, where passionate fans attend rallies outside court hearings to support the star. However, Britney has never endorsed these shows and has claimed that they bring up humiliating moments from her life. In a final social media outburst, she lashed out at fans who ridiculed her belief in hope and fairy tale endings by telling them to ‘go f**k yourself.’
