Pop star Britney Spears is apparently not interested in buying her old childhood Louisiana home, which is currently on the market for $1.2 million.
As The Blast previously reported, her old home in Kentwood is on the market after her estranged father, Jamie Spears, sold the home over two years ago for only $289,000. Now, the current owners are looking to bring in over a million for the 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home, which includes a door that says “Christina sucks, Brit rules.”

The Blast spoke to the real estate agent – Yvonne Hulsey of Keller Williams Realty Services – who revealed that the home is coming with much of the furniture still intact. In addition to some original furniture, one stand-out piece includes a door that says “Christina sucks, Brit rules.” It could be a reference to a childhood friend, but fans are convinced that the “Toxic” singer was actually throwing shade at Christina Aguilera.
Although many items in the home, such as Britney’s childhood drawings, are priceless to fans, Bobby Livingston, executive VP at RR Auction, told TMZ that the door could fetch anywhere between $20-$30K at auction. However, Jared Mast, head of pop culture at Goldin Auctions, warned that the handwriting would have to be analyzed first in order to prove its authenticity. His estimate was that, if the message really was written in Britney’s handwriting, it could bring in between $10-20K.

Darren Julien, CEO of Julien’s Auctions, speculated that the door would only be worth $4-6K, while Ed Kosinski of Gotta Have Rock and Roll placed its value between $20-$25K. It is unclear how much the various drawings from Britney Spears’ childhood would sell for. There are several pieces of artwork framed throughout the home, although their authenticity has yet to be confirmed.
According to the real estate listing on Redfin, the 3-bedroom home – which has been viewed over 3,000 times – was built in 1980 and sits on 1.87 acres of land. “This charming residence boasts a spacious 2,300 sq ft of living space and retains the original dance studio where Britney’s incredible journey began,” the description reads. “Set against a backdrop of serene, park-like grounds, the property exudes a sense of tranquility and nostalgia.”
What Did Britney Say About Christina Aguilera In Her Memoir?

The now 41-year-old pop star did reflect on her relationship with her “The Mickey Mouse Club” costar in her memoir, “The Woman In Me,” which sold over a million copies just over a week after it was officially released on October 24, 2023. In her memoir, she recalled how her ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, was making “sexy eyes” at the “Candyman” singer for their June 2003 Rolling Stone magazine cover ahead of their joint tour.
“He and Britney made a great couple. I’ve known the both of them since [Mickey Mouse Club], and they kind of had their little crushes even back then,” Christina told Rolling Stone at the time.
“Britney has known him for such a long time, too —before he was Justin Timberlake, the star, when he was just Justin, the kid on the Mickey Mouse Club,” she continued. “I don’t know, I have a feeling that there’s going to be some reconciliation. I know that they talk and everything, and it’s cool. I don’t think it’s over.”

At the time, the “Cry Me A River” singer denied that there was anything going on romantically between him and Christina. “We’ve been rumored to have had a romance, which is so far off. We’re two people who are just very platonic,” he said at the time. “You know, I can’t say that we’re the best of friends, we don’t hang out all the time, but that’s more or less because of what we do, and the schedule is so crazy.”
In an excerpt from her memoir, Britney Spears said that his comments were “confusing” and noted how she and Christina always seemed to be compared and contrasted in the media.
In 2004, the “Lady Marmalade” singer told Blender magazine, “Every time I tried to start a conversation with her — well, let’s just say she seemed nervous the whole time,” during rehearsals at the MTV Video Music Awards. “She seems to me like a lost little girl, someone who [desperately] needs guidance,” she added.

In her own interview with Blender that year, the “Gimme More” singer fired back, saying, “When someone has been rude to you so many times, it’s like, ‘You know what, Christina, I’m really not about the fake anymore.”
However, it seems that the two have reconciled over the years. “I would love to [speak to Britney], I would always be open to that,” she said during a January 2022 appearance on The Enrique Santos Show. “It’s a subject that I definitely want to be careful of because I never want to speak out of turn about somebody that I have so much respect and admiration for. But, I’m so happy [for her].”
