It’s almost a month since Britney Spears’ husband Sam Asghari filed for divorce from the singer, yet the Toxic hitmaker looked to have moved on with her rumoured new boyfriend Paul Richard Soliz.

The singer reportedly had a ‘short fling’ with the convicted criminal but she broke it off and ‘no longer has any communication’ after learning of his criminal past.

The 41-year-old was rumoured to be dating Paul, 37, a former housekeeper at her Thousand Oaks mansion, but now a source close to Britney has told DailyMail.com exclusively that ‘Britney is not dating Paul’.

‘They had a short fling after Sam left but that was it,’ they confirmed. ‘Britney hooked up with him twice and, at the time, [she] did not know about his criminal past. She no longer has any communication with him.’

The pair were first spotted ‘getting close’ last month in the immediate wake of her marriage split, but what do we know about her former flame?

In August Britney was seen driving a white Mercedes-Benz with a mystery man who is thought to be Paul in her passenger seat in Calabasas, California.

Yet her rumoured boyfriend doesn’t have a squeaky clean past after it was revealed he was previously arrested for possession of a firearm.

According to legal records reviewed by the outlet, in December 2020 Paul was convicted in connection of felony firearm possession, during a time he was working for the singer.

In 2016 Paul was convicted of driving without a license, the outlet reported, citing court docs. A charge of driving with a suspended license was dismissed that year after a plea agreement, according to Page Six.

The outlet, citing court documents, reported that he was convicted in connection with disturbing the peace in of April 2014; and entered into a plea deal for a child endangerment charge to be dismissed.
