Britney Spears is expected to reconcile with her sister Jamie Lynn Spears – after mending her relationship with her mother Lynne Spears following their explosive family feud.

TMZ has reported that Spears had wanted her younger sister, 32, to attend her 42nd birthday celebrations over the weekend in Los Angeles, but Lynne was unable to join due to filming obligations out of the country.

The site reports that it would appear a reconciliation between Britney and Jamie Lynn is imminent.

The latest developments will no doubt shock fans and readers of Britney’s memoir The Woman In Me, where the Toxic singer called her sister a ‘total b**ch’ when describing her sibling at just 11-years-old.

Fans were also stunned to see Britney’s mother Lynne Spears present at her daughter’s birthday party over the weekend.

Insiders have told TMZ that Britney had been regularly speaking with her mother for weeks and was the one to extend the birthday invite. Both Britney and her mother want to have a relationship with one another.

Lynne is expected to visit her daughter more frequently in the future, sources added.

Britney’s mother wasn’t the only family member at the party – so was her brother Bryan.

‘Britney wants to make things right with her family. She thinks it’s time to start healing,’ a source told TMZ.

It comes just weeks after Britney released her memoir The Woman In Me, where she put her family members on blast.

Of the book, insiders say the majority of it was complete seven months prior to its release, and that Britney’s intentions were to ‘tell her truth and move on.’

Unsurprisingly, the only immediate family member Britney has yet to patch things up with is her father Jamie Spears, who once headed her conservatorship. Britney has made no secret of her dislike for her father.

Lynne was spotted departing from LAX on Monday after her daughter’s birthday, where she said it was ‘wonderful’ being able to reunite with Britney.

When asked how Britney was currently doing now that they had repaired their relationship, Lynne said, ‘Happiness.’

In her memoir Britney lambasted Jamie Lynn’s behaviour at their family home due to her poor treatment of their mother, who was struggling in the wake of her marriage split.

Britney wrote that she arrived home from tour to discover that Jamie Lynn — now 32 — ‘ruled’ their home.

Britney also said she is ‘working to feel more compassion’ towards her sibling after they feuded for years.

Claiming in her tell-all tome that Jamie Lynn told her to ‘stop fighting’ her controversial conservatorship which ran from 2008-2021.

Britney has gone back and forth between seemingly despising her sister and sharing her love for her publicly in recent months.

Although she initially blasted every member of her family in the final days of her conservatorship and the immediate aftermath of its dissolution, she has occasionally reached out with public olive branches on social media, even claiming she visited her sister on the set of her film Zoey 102.

Jamie Lynn finally mentioned her sister on a recent episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, saying she and Britney loved ‘each other.’

While Jamie Lynn relaxed in a hammock in camp during last month’s episode, Fred asked: ‘So where do you live?’

Jamie Lynn replied: ‘I live in the country. We have like 180 acres.’

Fred replied: ‘Wow, like a ranch? Your sister is obviously a superstar, you’re a superstar, why? How come the both of you, what made it?’

Jamie Lynn replied: ‘I think every family fights and has their stuff but I talked to her before I came here and we love each other.’

Britney and Lynne’s feud began after the pop star claimed Lynne didn’t lift a finger to help free her daughter of the 13-year conservatorship she was placed under in 2008, which was controlled by Britney’s father Jamie Spears.
