Britney Spears’ mom Lynne says ‘all things are always possible’ when asked if there was chance for once estranged mom and daughter to continue their reconciliation back in home state of Louisiana for the holidays

Britney Spears recently had a shock reunion with her estranged mother Lynne and the matriarch is open to the possibility that her pop megastar daughter could return to her home state of Louisiana for the holidays days after DailyMail.com exclusively reported that she was planning a weeklong stay there.

The 68-year-old mother-of-three arrived at LAX Airport in Los Angeles on Thursday evening which has marked her second trip to Los Angeles in two weeks as she enjoyed a shock reunion with her 42-year-old star daughter earlier this month.

There Lynne was asked many questions about Britney and remained mum for the most part until the topic of the Oops, I Did It Again hitmaker returning to Louisiana for Christmas was broached.

‘All things are always possible,’ Lynne replied in video obtained by TMZ on Friday.

Though Lynne refused to answer several questions including how her ex-husband Jamie Spears is doing after his leg amputation, she did give a couple of interesting answers.

She was asked about Britney’s relationship with friend and acting manager Cade Hudson – who can often be seen on her social media – and if he is a ‘good force’ for her daughter. Lynne responded with a nod and said ‘yeah, he’s fine.’

Lynne was then asked if she misses Britney’s estranged husband Sam Asghari and she took a few seconds to think about it before responding: ‘not really.’

The trip by the mother comes as Britney’s explosive memoir prompted a shock reunion between the popstar and her estranged mother Lynne – who ‘apologized’ to her daughter after reading her brutally-honest account of her fraught relationship with her family.

The pair were pictured cuddled up on a sofa together as they celebrated the singer’s 42nd birthday in LA last weekend, with insiders claiming to DailyMail.com it went so well, that Britney is now planning a trip back home to Kentwood, Louisiana, to further repair their broken relationship.

The mother-daughter duo ‘finally healed their wounds’ after Lynne reportedly ‘apologized’ to her daughter instead of trying to ‘negate’ her feelings upon the release of her book, The Woman in Me.

‘It was the book,’ a source exclusively told DailyMail.com about how their reunion came to fruition. ‘Britney was able to get her feelings out and Lynne didn’t try to negate those feelings.

‘Lynne took ownership and she apologized. This was a huge turning point.

‘Britney is now reunited with those who mean the most to her in her family… They have finally healed their wounds and are looking forward to the future with positivity.’

Britney gets down on the floor while dancing with Cade on 42nd

On Friday, Britney celebrated her birthday with an intimate private party arranged by her manager Cade Hudson at his home in Los Angeles, marking the first time Lynne, 68, and her daughter had seen each since they attempted to mend their estranged bond back in May.

The event was attended by a few close friends and family, including Britney’s brother, Brian Spears, 46.

‘This was a group effort from her inner circle including Cade, her brother, close friends and, of course Britney and Lynne,’ the source continued.

‘They both were ready for this and Britney wanted this. This was not a surprise on Britney in any way.

‘Everyone had a blast and there was lots of dancing and laughing. Most importantly, Britney and Lynne were able to spend some deep and meaningful time together.’

Pictures showed Lynne appearing to stroke her daughter’s hair as they cuddled up together on a sofa.

Another image, shared on hair colorist Baihly B’s Instagram account, showed Britney lifting her mom up in her arms.

Britney and Lynn’s reunion was a ‘group effort’, a source told DailyMail.com (pictured together in the early 2000s)

According to a separate source, the two had such a positive experience that Britney is now discussing a possible trip home to Kentwood to enjoy some quality mother-daughter time.

‘They were talking about having Britney come back home to Kentwood for a week or two so that she could spend time with her mom just the two of them,’ they said.

‘Lynne wants this to happen and so do those around Britney. It will likely be a mission to make this happen without people finding out, but they really do want this. It will be so good for the both of them.’

They added that Lynne is ‘on cloud nine’ and feels ‘blessed’ that she has been able to show her daughter ‘how much she loves her on her birthday.’

Their reunion comes six months after Lynne flew out to LA to meet with Britney. The two spent several hours talking, but their reconciliation appeared to be short-lived.

When Britney’s now estranged husband Sam Asghari, 29, filed for divorce from the singer in August, Lynne was nowhere to be seen and did not rush LA to comfort her.

Their feud began after the pop star claimed Lynne failed to help free her of the 13-year conservatorship she was placed under in 2008, which was controlled by Britney’s father Jamie Spears, 74, who recently had his leg amputated.

In 2022 Britney claimed that her mother was the driving force behind her father.

‘A woman introduced the idea to my dad, and my mom actually helped him follow through and made it all happen,’ Britney said in a since-deleted video on YouTube.

‘It was all basically set up. There were no drugs in my system. No alcohol. No nothing. It was pure abuse.’

In her memoir she revealed she felt as though her family were trying to ‘kill’ her when she returned home after a stint in rehab.

‘It crossed my mind that they were only visiting to finish off what they’d started a few months earlier, to kill me for real,’ she wrote. ‘If that sounds paranoid, consider all the things I’d been through up until this point — the ways in which they had deceived and institutionalized me.’

She also claimed that her mother threw out her childhood dolls and journals from her bedroom in the $10 million mansion she had built for Lynne in 2000.

DailyMail.com also reported that Lynne was selling some of her daughter’s possessions, including clothing, at a local consignment shop in Kentwood to make ends meet.

However, Lynne subsequently denied having sold any of Britney’s items, saying she wouldn’t be so ‘cruel’ to her daughter.

In response to Lynne’s denial, Britney claimed on Instagram that on a more recent visit home, she found several dolls that had previously been missing.

She took their appearance as evidence that her mother had returned or replaced them, though it was too late to be of use to her.

‘It’s wonderful’: Lynne Spears on reuniting with Britney

According to court documents, Lynne filed a petition in November 2021 to request that Britney’s estate pay the $660,000 attorney bill for her conservatorship lawyers.

But in April 2022, Britney’s own lawyer Mathew Rosengart argued against that petition in court, stating that ‘there is no legal authority supporting’ Lynne’s claims that she should be able to collect funds from her daughter’s estate.

Court documents reveal that Rosengart further alleged that Britney had spent approximately $1.7 million on her mother over the years, claiming that Lynne had ‘for at least a decade resided in a large, expansive house owned by Britney’, who – he said – also ‘paid Lynne Spears’ utilities, telephone services, insurance, property taxes, landscaping, pool work, pest control, repairs and maintenance’.

Legal paperwork obtained by The Blast in October of that same year revealed that Lynne had withdrawn her $660,000 claim.

In Lynne’s 2008 autobiography, Through the Storm, she said she blamed herself for Britney’s demise.

‘When her life was such a success, what did she need me for? And when things took a turn for the worse, I was out, because other people – dancers, managers – were closer to her, and with her day and night,’ Lynne wrote.

‘Being a mother, you can’t help but have regrets about what you did and didn’t do for your kids, and I’m no different.’
