The singer claimed the blades were fake, but the apparent injury suggests otherwise

Britney Spears appears to have potentially injured herself following a recent video involving dancing with knives.

In another dancing video uploaded to Instagram on Tuesday, Sept. 26, the day following the potentially dangerous clip in question, Spears appeared to have a fresh cut on the top of her right thigh and a bandage wrapped around her right forearm as she excitedly showed off her “Pretty Woman” top—the same polka-dotted burnt orange bikini top with cap sleeves that the “Baby One More Time” singer wore as she spun around with the utensils.

The video in the first slide of Tuesday’s post seems to have been taken at the same time she recorded the first, with the knives causing concern for fans and animal lovers alike after her small dogs appeared to run in terror after she clanged the blades together.

But in the second slide, where she wears the same outfit once again, she had a white strip of tape secured around her arm and a cut on her leg that were not present in the first.

Spears tried to clear up some of the concern surrounding the video, assuring fans that the knives were not real, but the appearance of the assumed injury—not to mention the metallic clanging of the blades—suggests otherwise.

She later uploaded another dancing video in which she begged everyone to “lighten up” as she revealed that she had been inspired by Shakira’s performance at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. In that video, she wore a white bikini-style top with puffy long sleeves and a pink bikini bottom. While her arm was covered by the shirt, she did not appear to have any semblance of a cut or scar on her leg, meaning it was likely an old video she uploaded.
