Britney Spears and her estranged husband, Sam Asghari, are close to finalizing their divorce, according to a new report.
Sources told TMZ Friday that the former couple are “cordial” and that the actor has not contested their prenuptial agreement as their lawyers work to settle the case.
An insider notes to Page Six exclusively, though, that Spears and Asghari — who unfollowed each other on Instagram in September — “have had little to no contact, so ‘cordial’ is a stretch, but there is no drama currently.”
Their reps did not immediately respond to our requests for comment.
The former personal trainer, 29, filed for divorce from the pop star, 41, in August after just one year of marriage.
Reports later emerged claiming Spears had cheated on and violently attacked Asghari prior to their breakup.

However, neither party ever publicly addressed the claims, and multiple sources close to the “Gimme More” singer told Page Six that she had not stepped out on her spouse.
“This wasn’t a whiplash decision. It’s been in the works,” one insider shared with us, while another claimed Asghari had “deserted” his wife prior to their split.
Spears wrote on Instagram in August that she was “a little shocked” by the divorce but “actually doing pretty damn good” overall, while the fitness model bluntly posted “s–t happens” on his account.
Asghari has since extended some grace to the Grammy winner, telling a paparazzo in October that he was “freakin’ proud of her” after the release of her memoir, “The Woman in Me.”

In her bestselling book, which she finished writing prior to the separation, Spears praised Asghari as a “gift from God” and a “good man.”
The “Crossroads” star also recalled being “instantly smitten” with the Iranian hunk after meeting on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video in October 2016.
The pair got engaged in September 2019 and tied the knot in June 2022 following the termination of Spears’ controversial 13-year conservatorship.
