Jamie Lynn Spears has lifted the lid on her up-and-down relationship with her sister Britney Spears.
I’m A Celeb: Jamie Lynn Spears recalls ’embarrassing’ Britney story
Jamie Lynn Spears has been busy with reality show appearances this year, with the star currently on I’m a Celebrity: Get Me Out Of Here!
While on the show, Jamie Lynn has lifted the lid on her relationship with her sister Britney Spears and has put their differences to a “complicated upbringing”.
She also claimed she has “never taken anything” from her older sister, despite the public’s knowledge of the conservatorship.
Speaking about their relationship on Saturday night, Jamie said: “She’s a good big sister, she is. Yeah, I love her.
“Me and her throw down. The world’s seen that. I’ve learned to stop talking about it publicly, but you know what, families fight. Listen, we just do it better than most.”
Fellow competitor Sam Thompson then dropped in suggesting all families have their quirks before Jamie replied: “Me and her both have had a very complicated upbringing.
“We’ve had very complicated circumstances and we both had to deal with them in different ways.”
She went on: “Sometimes we took it out on each other when perhaps we shouldn’t have.
“I’ve never, ever … I’ve been the one person in her life – and she can say this – I’ve never taken anything from her, you know? I’ve been the one person in her life who’s always said, ‘I just want to be your sister’.
“We just had a really weird life so we can’t explain it to many people, but at the end of the road I know that that’s my family, I love them.”

While Jamie’s opinion on their relationship is valid, the Toxic hitmaker has not spoken so positively of her sibling in recent years.
Britney claimed at one point on Instagram her family “should all be in jail” and even called her sibling “scum” and a “selfish little brat”.
At the time, Jamie shared a statement on Instagram that read: “I can assure you I have supported my sister long before there was a hashtag, and I’ll support her long after.”
Britney most recently called Jamie Lynn out in her explosive memoir for using the end of her conservatorship as a cash grab to release her own book, titled Things I Should Have Said.
Britney wrote: “As I was fighting the conservatorship and receiving a lot of press attention, she was writing a book capitalizing on it.
“She rushed out salacious stories about me, many of them hurtful and outrageous.”
However, Britney also wrote about her enduring love for Jamie in another part of her book.
The Everytime hitmaker said: “She will always be my sister, and I love her and her beautiful family.
“I’m working to feel more compassion than anger toward her, and everyone who I feel has wronged me. It’s not that easy.”
