After I decided to take a break, I was surprised to see that no one really made a big deal about it. The silence was actually quite nice and allowed me to feel like I could reintegrate myself into the world without any unnecessary attention. Now that I’m back, I’ve noticed some changes in myself.

Having appeared in several major Hollywood productions over the past decade, the lead actress of the popular movie franchise, Hunger Games, decided to take a step back from the limelight and enjoy some much-deserved rest and relaxation after the release of X-Men: Dark Phoenix in 2019.

It’s been quite some time since we last heard from Jen, especially with the added challenge of a worldwide pandemic. Nevertheless, even without any acting gigs, it appears that the talented Oscar winner has been productively occupied outside the limelight.

During Jen’s absence of two years, she tied the knot with her partner, Cooke Maroney. The couple made an exciting announcement earlier this year about their first child on the way.

Thankfully, her comeback to Hollywood has become even more thrilling with the inclusion of some amazing maternity outfits that she has been flaunting during the promotional events for her latest film.

Jennifer is making a comeback to the entertainment industry with Adam McKay’s latest dark comedy, Don’t Look Up. The film features an impressive cast of A-listers such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, and Jonah Hill. It’s going to be a big month for Jennifer!

Jennifer, along with her noticeable baby bump, made an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to talk about her break from the limelight and promote her latest movie on Netflix, which boasts a star-studded cast.

In her latest talk show appearance, the celebrity discussed her activities during her break from the limelight, and true to her playful personality, she started with a humorous remark about indulging in plenty of intimate encounters. This marks her first talk show appearance since 2019.

During her appearance on the show, host Stephen Colbert inquired from Jennifer about what she had gained from stepping away from the limelight which prompted the actress to share how she had developed a fondness for the “comfort” of movie-making prior to her decision to take a break.

Starting with a chuckle, she expressed her reluctance to share the valuable and insightful lessons she has acquired, as they are too significant to simply reveal.

“It was a pleasant experience,” she mentioned. “I have always been at ease with following a routine and being present in a particular place. The organized and consistent environment of the set provided me with a sense of comfort.”

After going through the intense experience of starring in the Hunger Games franchise, Jennifer shared that taking a break afterwards was quite refreshing. She mentioned that during that time, no one really bothered her and things were peaceful. However, she subtly hinted at the challenges that come with being a worldwide celebrity.

She expressed her relief in being able to blend back into society without any dramatic attention. She added that she didn’t want any form of extravagant recognition.
