Up until recently most of the world’s attention has been on Miley Cyrus’ engagement finger – so it is understandable she might try that little bit harder to grab the limelight

But we didn’t expect this.

Miley seemed to have slipped into a Borat-style monokini which barely covered her tiny frame and possibly had her stylist blushing when the black skimpy outfit was suggested to the star.

But you have to hand it to her, the 20-year-old, who IS engaged to hunky Liam Hemsworth, pulls of the look with some serious aplomb, in a lofty pose with her hands just about covering her modesty.

Posing up a storm: Miley makes the monokini look good
The sultry pose is for Miley’s new single We Can’t Stop, which debuted today.

Just this weekend the 20-year-old singer seemed a million times happier on a videoshoot – proudly wearing her glitzy Neil Lane diamond for everyone to see.

Miley looked really happy in LA, on a videoshoot, wearing her Neil Lane diamond on her wedding finger – so we guess she’s trying to tell us it’s all back on.

The couple – who’ve been dating, yes, you guessed it, ‘on and off for four years’ were said to have split when US reports screamed: “They’ve over! It’s done!”

Hear me roar! Miley then slips into some decidedly 80s gear
The report said that Miley and Liam had postponed their wedding twice, but they’ve only been engaged a year.

At least Miley’s avoided tweeting any pictures that have landed her in trouble this week – last week she showed off her new Chanel outfit, but also her phone decorated with what looks like a cannabis leaf .

And then everyone got a bit angry – not least Liam.

Sources said: “She was acting out. She felt somewhat neglected by Liam and wanted her presence known. Liam always admired Miley’s independence, but this was more like a rebellion, and it freaked him out. She has undergone a complete personality change. She’s basically thugged out. Liam originally loved Miley’s wild side, but it began to grate on him.

‘He used to be obsessed with the way she would go wild. But it got more childish to him. He’s growing up – and fast. At first they were yin and yang, balancing each other out. But they got more and more out of sync.”

We Can’t Stop, produced by Mike WiLL Made-It, will be played on premiere on Ryan Seacrest’s syndicated radio show later today in Los Angeles.
