President Joe Biden celebrated his 81st birthday on November 20 by pardoning turkeys for Thanksgiving. And he continued to cause concern about age when he confused Britney Spears with Taylor Swift during his speech.

The turkey pardoning ceremony, a White House tradition, was held on the South Lawn of the White House, attended by many students.

Regarding his birthday, the leader joked that “turning 60 is not easy.” However, another of his jokes caused confusion.

Mr. Biden said: “Turkeys Liberty and Bell had to work hard, demonstrate patience, and be willing to travel thousands of miles. It could be said that it was more difficult than buying tickets to Britney’s Renaissance tour. She’s down in warm Brazil.”

Mistaken statements about two famous singers Taylor Swift and Britney Spears have once again stirred concerns about his age.

Currently, Mr. Biden is the oldest sitting president in US history.

Many consecutive surveys show that the majority of voters think he is too old to be the US military’s chief of staff.

However, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that “this is not a matter of age, it is about his experience”.

Regardless, survey results published by Monmouth University in October showed that 76% of voters thought Mr. Biden was too old to continue running for US President for a second term next year. 48% of people have similar thoughts about former President Donald Trump (77 years old), Mr. Biden’s potential election opponent.
