Sam Asghari may have split from Britney Spears, but he seemingly isn’t worried about her forthcoming memoir.
Weeks before the hotly anticipated autobiography hits shelves, the actor and model says he has no ill will against his estranged wife, from whom he filed for divorce in August after 14 months of marriage.
In fact, Asghari claims he already read an early copy of “The Woman in Me” and only has good things to say about it.
“I’m very proud of her,” he told TMZ paparazzi on Thursday. “She put a lot of work to it, and it was very hard. I’m definitely excited and I’m extremely proud of her. It was a really tough one.”
Asghari could benefit from the fact that the book may have already been in production before things went south in his marriage to Spears. In August, TMZ cited sources “with direct knowledge” that “The Woman in Me” will be released as it was written. However, the outlet said Friday that Spears may indeed have “made some changes after they split.”
Publisher Simon & Schuster is set to release the title Oct. 24 in multiple formats. Oscar-nominated actress Michelle Williams has been tapped to narrate the audio version of the book.
Spears, 41, reportedly signed a multimillion-dollar contract for the tome, with cover art featuring a topless photo of the singer covering her breasts with her arms.
