Sam Asghari revealed that he went through a major fitness “transformation” following his separation from Britney Spears.
“So, in the past five months I’ve had a little transformation which was losing about a good 35 to 40 pounds,” the former personal trainer exclusively told Page Six.
In photos exclusively obtained by Page Six, the “Black Monday” star looks thinner than ever as he flexes for the camera.
“Sometimes when you are in a situation that you don’t get to necessarily focus on yourself, it could be challenging for you to notice [your physique changes] but everybody else does.”
Asghari — who filed for divorce from the “Toxic” singer in August — said that he went through a “spiritual” and “energy” shift recently.
“I have more time for myself to focus on myself,” he explained.

“Being by yourself and alone is a really good opportunity to focus on yourself.”
Asghari added that while the transformation followed his contentious split with the pop star, it is “not necessarily a revenge body, but a self-love sort of thing.”
“Sometimes you get too focused on yourself,” he shared, adding that “self-love is something everyone should practice.”

Despite showing off his killer physique in a shirtless photo shoot for PETA’s latest adoption campaign, Asghari, 29, tells us that he isn’t planning to show off his new bod to any new romantic partners.
“I’m focusing on work at the moment,” the “Special Ops: Lioness” star told us. “I definitely won’t be joining any dating apps any time soon. That’s for sure.”
Asghari and Spears — who began dating in 2017 after meeting on one of Spears’ music videos — were married for one year before calling it quits.

While the two former love birds haven’t publicly revealed why they split, it was rumored at the time that infidelity and abuse had something to do with their falling out.
Following their separation, Asghari and Spears, 42, went through a pet custody battle which ended in the “Circus” singer keeping four of their puppies while Asghari kept their Doberman, Portia.
At the time, Spears was able to keep her Australian Shepherd named Sawyer, a Yorkie named Hannah and two other smaller dogs.

The following day, Spears confirmed that she had purchased a new puppy.
Since splitting up the custody of their pups, Asghari teamed up with PETA to encourage people to adopt from their local shelters instead.
“Always adopt, never buy,” Asghari said.
“Animal homelessness is at an all-time high, and buying dogs is only making it worse. We need to stop supporting pet stores and breeders and start adopting from shelters or rescue groups.”

As for his Doberman — which he purchased in 2021 to “protect” Spears — Asghari said that he has “learned a lot” from his time working with the animal rights organization.
“I love Portia dearly, but I now realize the importance of adopting and rescuing animals from shelters.”
Now that Asghari is a single dog dad, the actor tells us that another puppy might be in his future when he isn’t so busy with work.

“In the near future for sure,” he says, explaining that his current work schedule doesn’t allow him the additional “responsibility” that raising a new puppy requires.
“You know, you can’t just fall in love with a puppy and get it. You have to think about if you can provide it with the right attention.”
“At this point in time, I’m happy to visit The HIT Living Foundation if I have puppy fever,” Asghari says, referring to the shelter where he did his latest photoshoot.
“Portia and I will spend some time together and when there’s a steady schedule and less work I will definitely look into possibly getting a bunch of other pets as well.”
