American singer Britney Spears shares her entire life story for the first time in her upcoming autobiography. Behind Britney’s most shocking images is always pain.
The most depressing moment in the life of “former pop princess” Britney Spears was the period between 2007 and 2008. In 2007, Britney lost custody of her children for reasons that were kept under wraps, only for those involved to know.
By 2008, the court determined that Britney did not have sufficient stability in terms of thinking and behavioral abilities and began placing her under guardianship. It was from here that Britney spent 13 years living under the strict control of a guardianship headed by her biological father.

In her autobiography The Woman in Me, Britney said her period of severe psychological breakdown lasted from 2007 to 2008. During this period, Britney suffered from postpartum depression, she felt grief over the breakdown of her marriage, soon followed by a custody battle with her ex-husband – dancer Kevin Federline.
During a period of severe breakdown, Britney acted aggressively, culminating in her shaving her head and attacking the paparazzi.
“When I shaved my head, everyone found me scary, even my mother. Going through the weeks without my kids, I felt like I had lost everything,” Britney wrote in her autobiography. The moment she shaved her head, Britney felt like she was “mad with pain.”
Britney’s loss of control over her personal life is part of the reason she has been placed under guardianship since 2008. Since then, Britney’s schedule, work, finances, assets, and personal life have been managed by someone else.

“In the agony of postpartum depression, the breakdown of my marriage, the loss of custody of my children, witnessing the loss of my maternal uncle Sandra, whom I was very close to and loved, plus the relentless clinging of the paparazzi, I began to think and act like an agitated child.” Britney wrote in her autobiography.
Britney said she accepted living in guardianship as a way for her to still have contact with her two young children.
“After enduring the impositions of my life, I understood that I was no longer in control of my life. So I decided to accept it and go with the way things were. I traded my freedom, accepting guardianship, so I could be with my two children, which was an exchange I accepted,” Britney wrote.
In her autobiography, Britney argued that to her biological father, she was just a source of family resources. Britney is outraged by the conservatorship inconsistencies she endured for 13 years: “People think I’m not competent enough to control my own life, but I still think I’m healthy enough to perform continuously.”
According to Britney, the guardianship had many unfair terms and unfairly controlled her: “I know that I acted immaturely, but what I did was not worth the way people have treated me over the years. I used to feel like a dangerous criminal who needed to be monitored and put under house arrest for a long time.”
Britney also criticized the way the media portrayed her as a “bad girl” who partied all night long in the mid-2000s. She claims she has never suffered from alcoholism or substance addiction.
During the period when the US media rumored that she was addicted to illegal substances, in fact, Britney was on a number of psychological medications, including drugs for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in adults. Britney claims that taking medication makes her feel unusual at times.
Britney said it was the excessive attention of the media and the public during the peak of her career, along with harsh judgments and assessments, that led her to take antidepressants.

There was a period when Britney often had headaches, she often felt exhausted both physically and mentally. To this day, sometimes, that state reappears. Britney insists she has no desire to return to singing in the future: “Now is not the time for me to be who everyone wants me to be; Now it’s time for me to really find myself.”
Britney also explained why she often takes nude photos and posts them on social media: “I know a lot of people don’t understand why I like to take nude photos and shoot coordination clips so much. You have to take thousands of photos according to other people’s wishes, you understand my joy when I can take pictures the way I like.”
However, it is these photos that make Britney’s two sons feel embarrassed with their friends and do not want to see their mother again. Britney hasn’t seen her two sons in nearly two years, though they do occasionally communicate by phone.
Now that Britney’s ex-husband’s family has moved to Hawaii, it has become even more difficult for her to see her two children again.
Despite her estranged relationship with her two sons in recent years, Britney wrote at the beginning of her autobiography that she made the book because of her two children, Preston and Jayden. Britney asserts at the beginning of her autobiography that her children are “the love of my life.”
