In America, pre-sale tickets for the film have been selling so fast that theatres have already added additional showtimes to meet the growing demand, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In fact, the frenetic pace now has insiders and industry experts predicting that the film could open to USD $100 million in ticket sales based on fans who have already bought their tickets ahead of time.

Citing other expert sources, THR article did not rule out the possibility that the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour film could gross USD $150 million or more, and that’s just in the U.S. alone, against a budget said to be between USD $10-20 million.

Those kinds of numbers are bigger than many of the traditional films that are being released in recent years.

Taylor announced a third Melbourne show at the MCG on February 18 next year and a fourth Sydney concert at Accor Stadium on February 26 as part of The Eras Tour.

She will become the first artist since Madonna to perform three consecutive concerts at the Melbourne Cricket Ground when she takes the stage in February next year, and the first ever to play a fourth straight show at Sydney’s Accor Stadium.

The new gigs are in addition to the existing Melbourne concerts on February 16, 17 and 18 and Sydney shows on February 23, 24, 25 and 26.
