On Tuesday, the Attention rapper unveiled a teaser for her upcoming Demon music video starring two-time Emmy nominee Christina Ricci on her official website, but it’s unclear when it will drop.
The single will appear on Doja Cat’s fourth studio album Scarlet, which she officially ‘finished’ on Sunday and RCA/Kemosabe Records will release it on September 22.
‘This new album is more introspective, but I’m not leaning so hard into that to where it becomes boring,’ the Vegas hitmaker – who has 56.8M monthly listeners on Spotify – told the mag.
‘So I want to give stories and bops. It’s a nice mixture of both. I think this project is a really fun canvas for me to play with my rap skills and talk about what’s going on in my life. But I’m not abandoning who I was and what I know about pop and singing and that aspect of music.’
Doja Cat – who frequently insults her fans – will next compete for five trophies – including video for the year for Attention – at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, which air September 12.
