Will Smith considers himself to be a very restrictive actor. Smith refuses to partake in many activities that are deemed common for other actors but not for him. Talking about the 1995 Bad Boys that essentially made Smith famous, the actor had a complaint about the franchise.
Preferring to avoid using curse words, Will Smith had to curse his heart out while shooting Bad Boys II. Talking about his character who was an undercover cop in Miami, the Emancipation actor stated that he got really uncomfortable when he had to curse at a teenager and envisioned his family member instead of the actor!

Investigating the drug flow into Miami, undercover cops Mike Lowery and Marcus Burnett have their buddy-cop action through the 2-hour 27-minute runtime of the movie. With the movie getting R-rated, Will Smith had to push his limits harder than ever since he had a lot of cursing involved in the movie.
Being an actor who doesn’t like to curse, Will Smith was left with no choice other than to embrace the character and go on a cursing rampage. In an interview, the actor revealed that he had no other choice but to embrace the setting of the story and the environment and he had to become Mike Lowery in order to get the movie done.
“We’re playing narcotics agents in Miami so that’s a really dark, grungy world and I wanted to commit to it. Even on the set, I was struggling a little bit with the foul language but I decided if you’re gonna play this character you just gotta close your eyes and one hundred percent commit to it,”
The actor further revealed that the hardest scene he had to do involved him cursing at a teenager. As per the Men in Black actor, things got really uncomfortable when he imagined his mother watching the film. Smith wished that he could get a reality pass on that part since he had to commit to the character.
“I just had to commit to the reality of the dialogue of that character. Every father wishes that he could do and say exactly that so I hope I get a reality pass on that one,”
