Before making the film, Smith had not seen Lawrence for over two years and when they finally met, they instantly had a connection and were sure that another Bad Boys film was definitely happening. Being close friends and wanting to work together again, Smith and Lawrence immediately began work on the third film. He told BBC Radio 1Xtra (on YouTube),
“I saw Martin [Lawrence] a few weeks ago. I haven’t seen him for about two years. We just looked at each other. We hugged. In that moment, we knew we were making another Bad Boys. We’re definitely doing another one.”
The reunion proved to be worth it as Bad Boys for Life became a huge hit. The duo are already shooting the fourth film in the franchise. It seems the frenzy and fanfare around Bad Boys and the duo are not going away anytime soon.

Will Smith recently showed his support for the strike and his fellow SAG-AFTRA members, emphasizing how “it’s a pivotal moment for our profession”. He posted a photo with some fellow members of the union on Instagram.

The writers strike recently ended and one wishes that the actors strike also ends very soon so that they can go back to work. One also hopes that they reach a fair deal and the demands of the actors are met. Smith has the fourth Bad Boys film coming up, which is scheduled to be released in theatres on June 14, 2024.
