Jada Pinkett Smith introduces fans to her new rescue puppy Lucco as she chats up her tell-all book Worthy due out in October

Jada Pinkett Smith dropped in on Instagram this week to share a new addition to her family with her 11.4 million followers.

The 51-year-old former Red Table Talk host uploaded an adorable photo of a brown and white puppy laying in grass and said in the caption, ‘Say hi to Lucco … my new rescue.’

Then on Wednesday she shared a video clip discussing the creative process behind writing her new memoir, titled Worthy.

She turned the camera on herself, letting sunlight pour in on her clear and smooth protection as she wrote in the caption, ‘And the process begins. Hopefully you’ll find some tips along the way for your own story telling.’

The literary work is due out October 17, nearly two years after Jada first began pitching the idea to publishers.

Jada Pinkett Smith shows off box of notes for her memoir

In the footage, the Baltimore native rocked a short and wavy haircut that was bleached at the top and dark at the sides.

She showed viewers a black box filled with her writings, drafts, and notes organized in folders.

The longtime Hollywood fixture said at the beginning of the outtake, ‘This was my original outline,’ as she held up white papers with black print.

Jada noted that she ‘started shopping the book in December 2021.’

‘I had this box just full of notes and full of writings that I had been collecting,’ she told her audience.

The mother-of-two added the prose documents her ‘journey from unlovable to lovable.’

‘Anything I was thinking about, I was like, “I just need one space to just put everything,”‘ she detailed while flipping through the contents.

Giving advice to fellow creators, Smith emphasized that the procedure ‘doesn’t have to be neat, organized – just one place to put everything.’

Jada then turned the camera on her other dog, Bandit, who was heard struggling to breathe in the background.

‘If you hear Bandit in the video, it’s because he’s right here with me,’ she explained, adding, ‘My poor baby is suffering allergies.’

Days ago, the superstar shared photos with her family – husband Will Smith, their two kids Jaden, 25, and Willow, 22, plus Will’s 30-year-old son Trey from his previous marriage.

She wrote in the caption, ‘A heart filling Saturday night with the fam. AND … I got to celebrate the fact that I finished recording my audiobook of Worthy that afternoon with the fam as well. Joy is all too real.’
