Julia Fox was dated Kanye West shortly after his divorce from Kim Kardashian last year and she writes candidly about their relationship in her new memoir Down the Drain
Julia Fox writes about her first date with Kanye West in her new memoir, following their whirlwind romance in January 2022 just months after his divorce from Kim Kardashian.
The Uncut Gems actress, 33, met the rapper, 46, in December 2021 and they split up in February last year. She writes about the relationship in her new memoir Down the Drain, which is released today, and refers to Kanye as ‘the artist’ in her book.
Julia shares that after being introduced to Kanye via text, she received “dozens of phone calls” from him. She’s said to have continued by discussing them and subsequently meeting in person.

The outlet reports that she met him in a nightclub after arriving in the city and reportedly recalled being led outside to a car park at one point during the evening. Julia said that ‘the artist’ proceeded to urinate whilst they were outside. She’s said to have stood in front of him to prevent photos being taken.

She wrote: “The artist starts peeing on the wall and I quickly jump in front of him.” Julia added during the same discussion: “Once he zips his pants back up, he puts his arms around me and pulls me in close, kissing me passionately.”
Elsewhere in the memoir, Julia admitted she felt like Kanye’s “little puppet” and claimed she was “weaponised” against his ex-wife Kim. At the start of their romance, she said she “really understood him on a visceral level,” but the relationship dynamics quickly changed.
A synopsis for Down the Drain teases that the memoir “chronicles her shocking life and unyielding determination to not only survive but achieve her dreams.” It’s now available and has been released by publisher Simon & Schuster.
