Doja Cat’s latest controversy isn’t the first time that she’s lost social media followers  due to a controversy she caused.

In August 2022, the 27-year-old lost nearly 200,000 followers on Instagram after she slammed Stranger Things’ Noah Schnapp, 18, for sharing their private DMs in a since-deleted TikTok post where the singer expressed romantic interest in Schnapp’s Stranger Things co-star Joseph Quinn, 29.

Doja Cat told her fans in an Instagram Live video that Schnapp’s TikTok post was a ‘snake s**t’ move.

The singer earned huge backlash from her fans for her reaction, mostly due to Schnapp being a minor at the time of the incident (Noah was 17-years-old when the feud between him and Doja Cat occurred last year).

As a result, Doja Cat proceeded to loose over 200,000 followers on Instagram while Schanpp gained nearly one million.
