It’s unbelievable how a simple picture has the strength to change a destiny, like it happened for these two dog best friends in a shelter. 7 years ago, two dogs named Kala and Keira, happened to be residing together in a shelter. Because they had no one but themselves they rapidly became best friends.

They had a unique connection with each other, they soon were one mind. Unfortunately, both of them were trapped in a kill-shelter and they didn’t have much time left. It was at that moment when somebody took a picture, and it was exactly this snap which changed both of their lives.

These two buddies were placed at the Etowah County Humane Society, and it was planned for them to be euthanized the next day. At that moment a staff member made the decision to take a photograph of them and announce a last appeal for these two dogs on their social platform.

Luckily Angels Among Us Pet Rescue took notice of these two pups, and received the info that the dogs sadly will be euthanized soon – to be precise, on that day.

The staff tried to describe how urgent the situation is again and again in the post and explained that there’s only very little time left because if they weren’t saved it’ll be their last day. The post was written out of Kalas perspective.

Kala said in the post that she was scared. She also said that it was her and her besties last day to live if they weren’t saved by being adopted. The post described in a very emotional way how important it was that they get rescued and adopted quickly.

Because of the touching pictures and words the post instantly went viral and it took less than 3 hours for them to be saved from death. A lovely man saw the posting and didn’t hesitate to call the shelter to save the puppies lives and rescue them.

Sadly, he was only able to foster them till they find a permanent home. Therefore their lives weren’t a 100% safe.

Their new foster moms aren’t just besties, they are even roommates, which was the best opportunity for Kala and Keira because this way they could stay together. Now the 4 of them are best friends forever.

In an interview their new foster moms told the story about how some occasions led them to adopt Kala and Keira. They said that they saw the post of Kala and Keira months ago but at that time they already had two dogs to take care of.

Sadly both of their dogs died in a short period. When they then reached the information that Kala and Keira didn’t find a forever home yet, they decided to adopt them and finally save their lives .
