If you have ever wondered what love means, no one better to answer you than animals. For them, that word encompasses everything. It is we, human beings, who give importance to irrelevant things, who make mistakes and prioritize what should be secondary in our lives.
Animals are pure love
This is what he did for a dog that was in danger, Ryan Nataluk , one of the inspectors of the Natchez – Vidalia bridge, over the Mississippi River, in the southern United States, when he realized that she had been trapped in the structure suspended about 36 meters high .
Without knowing how he got there, Craig Jenkins , an employee of the Stantec company, did not think twice and began to descend to where the frightened furry was to save her from certain death.
Shortly after, a family of hers met her, fell in love with her and invited her to spend the rest of her days in a home full of love, affection and respect.
“Let’s talk about being in the right place at the right time! Our bridge inspection team was working on the Mississippi River this weekend when Bridge Inspector Craig Jenkins noticed a female dog stranded under the bridge deck, 120 feet above the river,” Stantec reported on social media.
The work was risky, however, the rescuer and expert climber took his team and was able to access the intricate place , remove the terrified animal and take it to a safe place, becoming a hero.
“Ryan Nataluk, lead climber and rescue technician for the team, quickly called the police for help and climbed down to the dog. Ryan got her to safety,” the company said.
As was known through various media, Nataluk, who is vice president and chief engineer of the company, has more than 23 years of experience inspecting and climbing bridges, so these types of situations are daily for him .
The man loves his family and is an animal lover. He regularly goes out for walks in the countryside with her and her dog, whom, according to Jenkins himself, he has had to help cross rivers and climb steep mountains.
He is also an expert in making improvised harnesses, a factor that was decisive in rescuing the lucky canine .
Today, the quadrupedal baptized as Lucky (lucky in Spanish) lives up to her name, thanks to this brave and kind volunteer who put her life at risk to save her from a defenseless being.
Animals do not care about the physical appearance or the socioeconomic status of the person who cares for, loves and protects them, while many of us continue to treat them unfairly and even with contempt.
Not in this case, since after being adopted, we are sure that Lucky will not be in danger again.
