The moment Abdul approached the king cobra, the animal suddenly became angry and rushed to bite its owner’s nose.

Abdul Munir, 20 years old, performed with the king cobra he trained in an open field near his home in Central Java province (Indonesia) on August 2.

When Abdul tried to kiss his “pet”, it jumped up and bit his nose. The victim was taken to a local clinic, but died later. Snake venom paralyzed his organs before doctors cured him.

The video shows the “deadly” moment when Abdul approaches the snake. The animal suddenly became angry, rushed into the owner’s face in the middle of the performance, and grabbed his nose with its teeth.

The area police chief said the incident occurred at around 4:45 p.m. on August 2. Abdul died while being transferred to a larger hospital. The victim’s body was taken home by the family for funeral arrangements according to religious rituals and cremated.

“We received news that the victim was bitten on the nose by a snake when he was about to kiss the snake’s head. He became dizzy and fell down before being taken to the clinic by local people,” the police officer said.

Police also said Abdul and some friends made money by performing with snakes in different villages in Grobogan Regency. After Abdul’s death, they told police they would no longer continue this dangerous job.

“We have advised people not to continue this activity because it is very dangerous,” the police chief advised.

Cobra is one of the most dangerous snakes in the world. A single bite can attack the nervous system causing paralysis, respiratory failure and death.

However, cobras will also “dry bite” without releasing venom if they feel they only need warning to eliminate the threat.
