This factory skillfully creates stuffed animals that look exactly like dead puppies, cats, hamsters and rabbits.
For many people, pets have become close friends as if they were true family members. People take care of their pets like a baby in the house, even giving them “privileges” to show their boundless love.
However, for many reasons, pets cannot stay with their caregivers forever. Then, all that remains is nostalgia and the pain of loss.
But, all of that will be alleviated by an extremely creative idea from a Philippine toy manufacturer.
This company cleverly creates stuffed animals that look exactly like the dead puppies, cats, hamsters and rabbits of customers who want to preserve memories of their pets.

Mr. David Tan – owner of the toy factory – has received countless orders from grieving pet owners who want to remember their pets.
According to Reuters news agency, Tan and a team of 20 employees used photos sent by customers to create lifelike replicas of deceased pets. They use airbrushed synthetic fur to recreate fur color and meticulously create each animal’s unique features.

Tan, owner of Pampanga Teddy Bear Factory, said the process is different from taxidermy, which preserves animal carcasses.
“It doesn’t have any scary elements. Because 100% this is actually a stuffed animal, not dead animal flesh,” he said.
Each stuffed animal costs about 3,500 pesos (equivalent to 1.5 million VND). Many customers consider this cost not expensive.

“Even though the Shih Tzu’s ashes are here and the memory of it is still fresh in my mind, it would be much better to see something that truly resembles the Shih Tzu,” Lazarte said.
