Adopt the dog that no one wanted because of his striking appearance and give him the greatest final days possible.

A young man with a big heart has made a dream come true that for many seemed impossible, it was about giving a terminally ill puppy a fair and loving ending. Although the cause might seem simple due to its kindness and humanity, it turns out that not everyone was willing to give the love that Luciano Karosas gave to a furry man named Thanos.

The dog previously baptized as Coco  had gone through four homes where they promised to make him truly happy  but they failed him. Therefore, when Luciano welcomed Thanos there were many doubts about it.

And it is that the puppy’s situation was complex due to his health condition. Thanos was sentenced to die due to a brain tumor  that had progressed rapidly. At the time the young man met him there was not much to do for him but one thing and perhaps the most important.

Given his condition, the dog needed special care and not all people were willing or fully prepared to provide it. A loving family was with him through much of the process, but he ultimately decided to throw in the towel.

After that unfortunate episode,  the puppy went through three other shelters but all ended up returning him to the shelter.  This story moved Luciano so much that the young man decided to act.

At 21 years old, Luciano lived through one of his most difficult experiences and it is that for him the complex thing was not the care that Thanos required but the little time he would have to make him happy.

“It was hard for me to adapt to the idea of the little time that we will spend together. I took him to a stem cell vet to see what we could do, looking for a little more hope (which had given him 40 days to live) and he told me that there is no treatment that will prolong that time. I left with a piece of my heart in my hand, “said Luciano.

The days following that visit with the doctor, the puppy lived a dream because Luciano took care of making him feel good despite everything he faced.

Although for Thanos it seemed that sleeping in daddy’s arms was his best medicine. Luciano did not manage to save him from cancer but he did from loneliness, because nobody knows what would have happened to the puppy if it had not been for the young man.

Sadly, Thanos’ future was already marked and he hung up his wings in January, but not before marking his owner’s life forever and teaching him a great lesson.

Luciano is perhaps the most generous person we know and, although saddened by the loss of his friend, he feels calm that in life he gave him everything he could have given him.

How many people do not regret everything they stopped doing for their loved ones? Without a doubt, this story and the example of the boy should be a lesson for everyone.

Fly high, Thanos. And thank you for the joy you also sown in this world. Luciano will always remember you.
