Unfortunately, many animals are victims of abuse, injustice, and abandonment by the people they consider their family . Without any justification, they are left on dangerous roads in the worst way, putting their lives at risk and leaving them with a completely broken heart.

This is what happened to a small dog that was frantically thrown from a car and despite all the difficulties managed to survive to be an example of inspiration.

It was Alesha Brandt’s daughter who saw someone open her car door to throw the dog on the street.

Her destiny is certain death but she has other plans

Immediately, the girl ran to the place and saw the terrible condition of the dog and called her mother to help. The two took the poor little animal to a nearby vet, where it was extremely malnourished, deaf in one ear, and badly injured in one eye, which had to be amputated . The little girl looked so bad that no one expected her to survive.

“Literally, she was thrown into our lives. He shouldn’t have made it through tonight, but he’s recovered,” Brandt said.

When the dog managed to recover from her terrible condition, she was ready to be put up for adoption. Brandt knew that the dog was destined to form her family and decided to formally adopt her , initially calling her Captain Jackie Sparrow, alluding to her one eye, but over time she was simply named Meeply.

However, shortly after arriving at her new home, the dog had an accident when she jumped off the sofa and broke her leg. Due to her long history of injuries, it was impossible to save her and her leg had to be amputated .

Thus, little Meeply ended up with only one eye, three legs and a single functional ear,  but none of this prevented her from continuing to enjoy the side of her loving family, the one she had always deserved.

Currently, Meeply is 13 years old and does not seem to realize that he is different from any other dog. Although he only weighs 2 kilos he has a great personality, as if he were a large dog and always makes sure to be in command of his surroundings.

“Meeply thinks she’s the leader of all dogs,” Brandt said.

The sweet dog is more than happy to have found a loving home that changed her life forever and made her forget all the pain she went through. Thanks to her compact size, Meeply can travel with her family everywhere and she loves meeting new people together with Brandt, who are surprised to meet her and can’t help but be moved by her story.

“Usually people cry when they meet her, they want to hug her and caress her,” said the woman.

Despite her great personality, the dog faces physical difficulties every day that prevent her from moving freely and climbing stairs . However, she always stays positive and never complains about her situation. Meeply is the clearest example of strength that her family can have, who are grateful for having found her and being able to share every moment with her.
